Smoking Related Asthma

There have been studies into smoking related asthma, which is someone that gets asthma after smoking a length of time. These studies showed that it is possible for the person that has smoking related asthma to decrease their condition by quitting smoking. This is because the lungs are able to begin healing and the cilia is no longer making excess mucus, which is one of the problems that causes shortness of breath and wheezing.

Asthma is directly related to the lungs and the mucus obstructing the breathing passages, which is also present in smokers. The mucus is trapped by smoke in the lungs, which makes it more difficult for the person with asthma that smokes and when they quit smoking this condition inside the lungs and air passages clear. Smoking can cause asthma attacks that are severe in nature and along with that the person with asthma has a higher risk for other tobacco related diseases because of the disease of the lungs. When there is an asthma attack due to smoking in some cases it requires medical care in a hospital setting due to the other complications that can occur including not being able to breath properly even after taking asthma medications or using an inhaler
