Quit Smoking with the Use of Aids

There are some actions that can be taken to quit smoking and one of the actions to quit smoking is with a quit smoking aid. This is done by using simple things that might be used every day that can be put into practice as i way to fight nicotine cravings successfully. This can be mints, hard candy, gum, toothpicks, or any number of things, but it can also mean the use of over the counter or prescription quit smoking aids. When using mints it means something is put in the mouth that will provide a burst of flavor, this can often help the person trying to quit get through a nicotine urge that can last 3 to 5 minutes.

 Flavors like mint do not taste good along with cigarettes in most cases, even when the person was smoking menthol cigarettes and this is the object find something that will not taste good with the cigarette. That will make it easier to forget about smoking, because it is a habit not to smoke when eating something that does not make the cigarette taste normal.  The brain can detect this and this can help to shorten the duration of the nicotine craving. This is also a way to fight nicotine urges and at the same time does not put any chemicals into the anatomy or replace the cigarette nicotine with nicotine patches, gums, lozenges or sprays that will later need to be weaned from after quitting smoking for good.

Fruit juice like orange juice can help to stop cravings, because most people that smoke find the cigarette distasteful along with juice, plus the vitamin C in the orange juice will help to flush the toxins from nicotine out of the body sooner. Smokers have some certain drinks or candies they do not smoke with when they are drinking or eating them and this is a way to alter the urge to smoke.
