You must also know that when you were smoking, unconsciously you are losing more than 200 calories per day and that your metabolism was improved to even help in losing weights. Now imagine how you will become when those processes will be gone suddenly. Obviously, weight gain is inevitable. To better help you avoid gaining too much weight after you quit, here are some things you should do:

#1. Exercise - this may sound somewhat basic for you but it is the best thing to do after you quit. Firstly, it helps your metabolism almost the same level as when you were smoking and it certainly can burn more calories. Just a 30-minute walk in the park every morning is a big thing to keep your body fit and healthy.

#2. Healthy Diet and Snacks - for sure you will also agree on this one as food plays a very great role in losing and gaining of weight. The more fats you intake, the heavier and bigger you become. Therefore, take away the foods which contain too much fat. Instead, go for vegetables and fruits. #3. Avoid Beer and Alcoholic Beverages - that is why there is such thing they call "beer belly" because beers can make your body gain weight so fast the same is true with any alcoholic beverages. So, if you are determined to quit smoking, you must also cut off your alcohol intake for good.
